Advert Analysis Jessie J

Jessie J Advert:

This Is Jessie J's Advert for her album "Who You are". As you can see It's ver star image and very dark and dramatic. This can be shown as her being a Diva singer for instance she is know ans the best female singer in the UK and can now be classed as some what a DIVA. Also the black colour could represent her powerful voice and her fierceness that goes along with her pose that shes pulling. Her mouth is open and her eyes are very dark and almost seductive looking which could call for her wanting to target all genders and ages.
The colour theme that Jessie J has gone for are mostly dark blacks and golds. The gold could represent her pop genre of music that goes well with the actual title of "Price Tag" symbolizing it alot more - Money can go with gold. Furthermore her name is very large and has its own stylized font which makes it stand out alot more compared to the other writing on the advert. This means audiences will end up seeing this first.

We can clearly see that Goodwins Theory is at use here showing Jessie J as the female being the star image of her Advert, also it is shown throughout her Dig-Pak too which relates to that professional aspect of having each ancillary text flowing with the same symbolic pose, costume font and colour.

Overall from this advert we can clear see that its fierce, powerful, dramatic and very DIVA like which could represent Jessie J's style, voice and genre of music being pop. It has that confident look about it, Jessie Is rather a confident performer too. I think overall the colour's and the image are both used together on this advert on purpose to create this final message that Jessie J is trying to bring through her album for her fans.

This is something that Erica Hall and myself need to defiantly think about using, Having a colour theme throughout our Ancillary text could help link in both final products to the actual construction part which will make all 3 seem symbolic to one another and help audience to know what artist they go with or what genre it is. Just like Jessie J does here with her mis en scene and star image, shes using the same outfit in the music video "price tag", her pose is the same on her Digi-Pak front cover and her makeup is the same with in the music video too resembling that constant professional flow throughout. This is something Erica and I need to think about applying to our ancillary texts to keep that professional standard up throughout all final product outcomes.
